The Waiting Room

I was in the DMV with my wife today renewing her licence, it took forever. I wrote this whilst in waiting



A little kid coughed on me
This guy has never showered
That mom just lets her baby cry
Another's breath is sour

Every BODYs tired
EVERYbodys cross
Boredom permeates the air
Like travesty and loss

Children bounce from nervousness
Adults border on slumber
But all have an open ear
On alert to hear their number
