I guess I got caught up in helping my young kids learn to read and thought this poem was a good idea... Im keeping it!
The cat
The cat sat
The cat sat on a mat
The mat was flat
So the cat sat on the flat mat
Matt spat!
Not the flat mat
But the man Matt, who owned the cat
Now... Matt didn’t like the cat sitting on the mat
So Matt spat at the cat, which sat, and looked at Matt, who threw his hat
Then stormed off to get his bat!
